The phenomenon of the eclipse has in mythology been connected with the upcoming end of the world and/or drastic change approaching. The John's Revelation claims that an eclipse of 3 days will precede the end of the world. Also the famous fortuneteller Nostradamus predicted an eclipse of 3 days introducing the end of all times.
